by Amanda Lance
Release Date: May 2013
From Limitless Publishing

Summary from Goodreads:
Considering she’s a girl who calculates everything, Addie Battes knew the statistical probability of being abducted in her lifetime—too bad she never analyzed the odds of falling in love with her captor.

While stopping at a crowded rest area one summer night, seventeen-year-old Addie accidentally catches a truck hijacking in progress. Desperate to rid the crime of its only witness, one of the thieves kidnaps Addie. Yet surprisingly, when a renegade thief attempts to silence her for good, Addie is saved by the very man who abducted her. Now, forced on board a cargo ship in the middle of the ocean, Addie finds herself surrounded by international smugglers who want nothing more than to throw her overboard.

All except the artistic and intriguing Charlie Hays, whose strange protectiveness convinces Addie to trust him, even when common sense tells her otherwise. Yet, despite her doubt, and his unrelenting temper, their relationship develops into something much more. But, Charlie’s scorned colleague has stowed away, and as he seeks revenge against his coworker, Addie and Charlie are forced to put their new love—and lives—at risk.

Review:
Ok, this book made me actually WANT to be kidnapped! I know that sounds crazy, but if Charlie is the one to kidnap me, I might just melt. This certainly isn't your typical love story or even your typical kidnapping story. This is a wild and emotional rollercoaster of a book that will wrench your heart in so many different directions you won't remember which way is up. We all have this preconceived notion that kidnapping is this horrible, awful event, and well, it is. Except when the kidnapped ends up wanting to stay.

Bad things happen. But sometimes, bad things lead to complicated things that lead to good things. This book is unlike anything I've read before. I enjoyed getting to know Charlie and Addie through this extremely stressful and at times horrifying, yet endearing experience. I like that this isn't another regular girl falls for rich, unattainable bachelor who discovers she's all he's ever wanted story. Don't get me wrong, I love those too! But it was so refreshing to find that Addie fell for the man who to most would be viewed as the underdog.

I have to say that even I fell in love with Charlie. This broken yet beautifully artistic and protective man who would literally protect Addie with his life. His devotion will floor you, and your heart will break for him. If you don't fall in love with him, I will come kidnap you!

Please, please, please pick this one up! You won't be sorry, and you just might join me in my kidnap fantasy. Ok, not you in MY fantasy, but you might want to get kidnapped too! (I'm just gonna let that line of thought go since I'm not expressing it very well.) Anyway, I don't know what Amanda Lance has planned, but I really, truly, sincerely hope that she considers continuing Addie and Charlie's story, because I haven't had my fill yet!
