Reality hit Nikki as she listened to Chase’s thundering heart in her ears. Or was it the blood pounding in her head? She didn’t know whether to curl against him and absorb his heat or bolt upstairs to analyze what had just happened. She couldn’t dare deny that she hadn’t enjoyed every minute of it. She closed her eyes and decided she didn’t want to think. She was staying.

It was a long time before she said, “I thought I said there will be no more kissing.”

Chase chuckled. “I decided I didn’t like your rules.”

She smiled at his arrogance. “Don’t I have a say in it?”

“No. We’ve played by your rules so far. Now we are following mine.”

“Which are?”

“We make love whenever and wherever we feel like it.”

She didn’t know how to react to his boldness and tried to sit up, but his arm tightened around her. “I need to finish my work, Chase,” she whispered.

“The computer can wait.” Chase murmured as he caressed her neck again, moved down, and brushed her taut nipples.

She shivered, wanting him to do more. His erection was nestled perfectly between her butt cheeks. “Someone might catch us in here.”

“I don’t care. I want to touch you. I need to touch you.”

God, he made it so difficult to resist him. She answered him by cupping his face and pulling his face to hers. She kissed him, showing him.

He let her take charge for about five seconds then took over, ravishing her mouth, his tongue bold and commanding. His hand crept slowly down her thigh. The dress was no barrier to the heat from his hand. He reached the hem of her dress and touched her knee. Nikki sucked in her breath. He slipped under her sundress.

Nikki’s knees fell apart.

Review:

OH. MY. GAWD! Every time I think I've found my favorite Fitzgerald Family book, Ednah writes another one! I've been dying for Eddie's story for a while now. He's always helping all of his cousins, and I really wanted him to get his happy ending. I have to say that Eddie is both extremely appealing and obscenely frustrating at the same time. He has this frustrating hang up due to him mother's abandonment, but he is also so endearing and heart felt and well.... sexy!

I really liked that this book had a different setting and involved a woman who already has a child. For me, this aspect made the relationship all the more important. And like all the women in the Fitzgerald Family books, Amy  is kick ass! She is strong and independent and has overcome a lot of really bad stuff, and I love that Eddie's role is not only to protect her but empower her. Even though he has control issues. I mean really, what man doesn't!?

The relationship between Amy and Eddie is wonderful, but the relationship between Amy and her Ex really cements the story. You'll have to read it to find out why, but Amy's history will suck you in and you will flipping each and every page just waiting for that final *BAM* moment. 

While this is the 5th book in the Fitzgerald Family series, you don't really have to have read the other books, although I strongly encourage you to if you haven't. Ednah is a fabulous author who grows with each and every book and her men.... O.M.G! You definitely don't want to miss out on all those scrumptious men! Review:

Dangerously addicting! That’s the best description I can give for Book 4 of The Fitzgerald Family series. This time we follow Faith Fitzgerald as she battles the treacherous plans of a thief and stalker hell bent on ruining her show at Fashion Week and her reputation. Faith is headstrong and independent, like all the Fitzgeralds, and she refuses to let her Aunt Viv or anyone else in her family bail her out. So of course, she turns to a very smart, very stealthy, and very sexy PI to get to the bottom of it. And Ken Lambert is all of the above. A one-night-stand between these two left plenty of unfinished business, and now they are thrown back together and things start to get good. Well, if Faith can shed her stubborn nature and Ken can hold his ground!

Full of danger, deceit, and above all, romance this Fitzgerald Family book won’t disappoint. I really loved Faith’s determination and ability to stand up for herself, and HELLO, there’s fashion! Got to love the fashion. Ken is intriguing. He’s headstrong but sincere, and family is important to him. How can you not love a man would is family oriented!? Even if his dad leaves something to be desired. The story kept me guessing, the danger and threats kept me interested, and the romance kept me fanning myself. You certainly don’t want to miss this Fitzgerald Family Novel!

Review:
KISS ME CRAZY is my favorite Fitzgerald Family book so far! I wanted to step right into Kara's shoes and live her life and get my hands on Baron Fitzgerald of course! I actually toted this book with me EVERYWHERE for 2 days straight and opened it every chance I got. The connection between Kara and Baron is drool-worthy. Who hasn't had a thing for their boss, right?! And of course, there are obstacles at every corner trying to ruin things for Kara and Baron. But when it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Or is it? When Baron's past comes back to haunt him, can he handle the pressure and still get to keep Kara?
KISS ME CRAZY is full of chemistry, smoldering kisses, and good old fashion passion! You won't be disappointed in this Fitzgerald (not that any Fitzgerald would ever disappoint)!

My Thoughts:

Sexy and sensual from the very start, MINE UNTIL DAWN will leave you breathless until the end. The moment Vince Knight saunters in to Jade Fitzgerald's office it becomes known that the man is HOT! He's a high school aquaintance of Jade's: mysterious, sexy, dangerous, unpredictable. And we all love us some hot, mysterious men. But Ms. Walters has really created a GREAT man with Vince. He makes his mistakes, has his insecurities, and his "stupid man" moments, but ultimately he is a sexy, attentive, caring man. Jade's vision of Vince is stirring to say the least.

"His sinful and sexy voice alone, deep and husky, was unforgettable. It brought to mind silk sheets, intertwined limbs and sweaty bodies." (Kindle Edition, CH. 1)

The descriptions throughout are detailed and sensual, but leave just enough room for imagination. And the story line is an intense mystery marked by dangerous encounters. I absolutely love the mixture of intimacy, danger, and investigation.

Fabulous Finds Friday

I was looking at my new stack of procurements last night, and decided I would share them with all you fabulous followers. I'm thinking of making this a weekly post, but I'm not making any promises yet. We will see how it goes. - Britney

5) My number 5 find of the week is... PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen. No, I have not been living under a rock. This is one of my favorite books, and honestly, I think my sister stole my copy. (Ok, not really. But it is missing.) I have read several novels lately that refer to Austen's work, and I wanted to re-read it. I like to have old copies of my favorite classics, so I tramped off to my favorite used bookstore to grab a copy. Now, it is back on my bookshelf where it belongs, because lets face it, a girl MUST own a copy of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. (At least this girl

4) My number 4 find this week is... EVERLASTING (AN IMMORTALS NOVEL) by Alyson Noel. This one has been on my list for a while now. I very much need to know how things turn out for Damon and Ever. If you have not started this series, I strongly recommend it. It is a completely new, interesting and creative idea.

3) My number 3 find of the week is... MINE UNTIL DAWN (THE FITZGERALD FAMILY) by E. B. Walters. I'm super excited about this one. This is the second book in THE FITZGERALD FAMILY series, and if it is anything like the first (which I'm sure it is) it will definitely be worth it. *note: This is an adult novel. Which translates to = I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO PERSONS UNDER AGE 18. But it will appeal to adult women.

2) My number 2 find this week is... SWEAR (ARC) by Nina Malkin. SWEAR is the second book in the SWOON series. I listened to the SWOON audio book last year, and I was very intrigued. I cannot wait to see what happens with Sin and Dice. (I also happened to name one of the Humane Society cats after Sin. You'll be happy to know that Sinclair the cat got a happy home.)





1) My number 1 find this week is... A PRINT COPY OF PERFECT CHEMIST RYby Simone Elkeles. I had the Kindle version already, but I absolutely LOVE this book so much, I just had to break down and by the print copy. If you have not read it you should. You will fall so hard for Alex.
