Review:
So I completely
fell in love with the crazy, wild ride that is Addicted To You! I absolutely craved every single page, because
this is unlike any book I have ever read. These characters are so broken they
are beautiful! Both Lo and Lily are beautifully written, and they come alive on
the page. The authors did a fantastic job of portraying each one’s addiction
and making it clear that they were in fact dealing with an unhealthy addiction.
Alcoholism
and sex addiction are not common topics that New Adult novels are focused on.
Alcoholism is somewhat prevalent, although Lo’s alcoholism is clearly the most
ingrained and extensive case I have seen in a book so far. But sex addiction? I
knew it was a problem that exists; however, I have never really given it much
thought, and I have certainly never read about it. The addictions are what
pulled me in, the complexity of the characters, their lives, their lies, and
their reliance on each other to feed their addictions kept me riveted to every
word.
The psychological aspect of Lily’s addiction,
the intensity, and the way it invades every aspect of her life was amazing and
addicting in and of itself. I found myself begging her not to do some things
while begging her to do others. And my heart broke for both Lily and Lo over
and over again.
This is
going to be a series, and I am so excited about that. I definitely want more of
Lo and Lily, and they’ve certainly got me sitting on the edge of my seat until
I can have more. Talk about an addiction! Addicted
To You will leave you with withdrawals and begging for more!
