Series Review:
This is a
Contemporary Romance series that revolves around a risk-taking billionaire and
play-it-safe wealth management analyst. For the most part, it’s your typical
normal girl meets rich bad boy and falls in love; however, there’s a special
element that this series has. It’s got a little bit of mystery, a little bit of
risk, and a whole heck of a lot of passion. The characters are definitely
interesting and the story kept my attention.
There’s a
nice over-arching storyline throughout these three installments; so much so
that I think they would nicely form one fluid book. Trust me when I say you
will be dying to pick up each book immediately following the prior book. They
are pretty short and a quick read.
There are
some pretty banging cliffhangers in books 1 and 2. Especially 2! But I’d
certainly expect nothing less from such a thrill-seeking bad boy and his woman.
I have to say though, had I only been able to read 1 book at a time and had to
wait between books, I would have been pretty frustrated. I’m not against
cliff-hangers at all, but the endings to book 1 and 2 were very abrupt. I
strongly recommend having all books on hand so you can read seamlessly.
There’s
an amazing amount of sexual tension throughout the series, and some pretty
amazing sex itself. The author definitely has that aspect down. The
relationship is intense yet realistic as far as the feelings expressed. The
overall experience of the series was pleasing and I felt satisfied with the
conclusion of book 3, although it was definitely left open enough for more to
come if the author ever felt the desire to do so. I don’t know if she does or
not, but there is a solid conclusion that will leave readers satisfied either
way.
